History
Jeff Pitzer formed his own law firm in Portland, Oregon in January 2002, after nearly 12 years at Chicago's Jenner & Block, a 400-lawyer national litigation powerhouse perenially ranked by the American Lawyer as one of the country's twenty most elite firms. Mr. Pitzer obtained a bachelors degree in chemistry from the University of Kansas in 1986, and earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin in 1990. Mr. Pitzer launched his career at Jenner & Block in 1990, and became a full equity partner there in 1997.

In January 2012, Bryan Geon, a seasoned Portland litigator and business lawyer, joined Pitzer Law full time, adding both litigation horsepower and business expertise to Mr. Pitzer's growing practice. Mr. Geon is a 1992 graduate, with honors, of Harvard University, and a 1997 graduate, cum laude, of the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining Pitzer Law, Mr. Geon worked for three years at Stoel Rives, one of Oregon's largest law firms, and later served as General Counsel and Vice-President of Business Development at CollegeNET, Inc., an Oregon-based developer of software and web technology for higher education. In his years as in-house counsel, Mr. Geon gained invaluable knowledge of the needs and concerns of litigants from the perspective of the client. Mr. Geon is also a published author, having written works ranging from travel guides to instructional manuals for the securities and investment banking fields.
